Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive medical equipment in temperature-controlled environments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and chain-of-custody procedures for all medical shipments
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking documentation
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup and delivery schedules
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Respond promptly to urgent delivery requests and reroute as needed
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes across El Paso and surrounding areas
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record (no moving violations in past 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in medical transport preferred
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical transport protocols
- Proficiency with electronic tracking systems and mobile communication devices
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
- Previous experience in medical logistics or healthcare delivery preferred
