Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive equipment to hospitals, labs, and clinics within strict time windows.
- Verify and document receipt of packages to ensure accuracy and maintain chain of custody.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company safety policies while on the road and at drop-off locations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Use handheld scanners and GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and dispatchers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Reliable personal vehicle (or willingness to be assigned a company vehicle).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and scanning.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
