Responsibilities
- Secure Transport: Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, and medical packages from healthcare facilities to processing centers and laboratories.
- Cold Chain Management: Ensure all temperature-sensitive items are kept within the required temperature range using provided coolers and thermal packs.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is clean, safe, and operational.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and process delivery receipts, manifests, and chain-of-custody forms.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with hospital staff, clinic receptionists, and patients to ensure a seamless delivery experience.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Must possess a valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record (no major violations).
- Background Check: Must be willing to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, including wearing company-provided uniforms.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with healthcare professionals.
- Reliability: A track record of being punctual and dependable with a history of good attendance.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift boxes up to 30 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods during deliveries.
