Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, and pharmaceuticals between hospitals, labs, and research facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for sensitive materials
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and chain-of-custody forms
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard handling standards
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Provide real-time delivery status updates via mobile tracking system
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize route efficiency
- Respond to urgent medical delivery requests with urgency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid driver's license with clean MVR record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with temperature-controlled transport (medical/pharma preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA healthcare regulations
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Proficiency with mobile tracking and documentation apps
