Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals with strict adherence to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody documentation and temperature-controlled shipments
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safety compliance
- Utilize GPS navigation for efficient routing while maintaining strict delivery timeframes
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route changes or delays
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience (medical transport preferred)
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification or willingness to obtain
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with precise documentation capabilities
- Pass background check and drug screening per healthcare requirements
