- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and diagnostic materials using climate-controlled vehicles
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs and documentation per HIPAA compliance standards
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal route planning and punctuality
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
- Adhere to strict biohazard handling protocols and infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare logistics experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with proper body mechanics
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in using mobile communication and navigation applications
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling and transport requirements
