Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, organs, and pharmaceuticals via temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody documentation and electronic manifests for all deliveries
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data protection
- Perform vehicle pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Coordinate with hospital staff, labs, and clinics for efficient pickup/delivery schedules
- Respond to urgent STAT deliveries with punctuality and professionalism
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal routing and real-time tracking
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B preferred or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical or sensitive logistics
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification or ability to obtain
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Proficient with electronic logging systems and mobile technology
- Background check and drug screening required
