Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, pharmaceuticals, and lab equipment
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for sensitive shipments
- Document deliveries and maintain electronic logs in real-time
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety standards
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery schedules
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness
- Manage inventory of medical supplies during transport
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year courier or medical transport experience
- Certification in medical waste handling (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong time management and GPS navigation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Reliable smartphone and high-speed internet for remote coordination
- Background check and drug screening required
