Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized containers
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and maintain electronic logs
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve delivery discrepancies
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries across Kern County
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical or sensitive transport
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate medical facilities
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical packaging standards
- Proficient with GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
