Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and lab equipment between hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain precise temperature control for time-sensitive shipments
- Complete electronic delivery documentation and maintain chain-of-custody records
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for timely pickups/deliveries
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT regulations at all times
- Resolve delivery exceptions through proactive communication
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling protocols
- Proficient with GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Background check and drug screen required
