Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, lab samples, and pharmaceuticals with strict adherence to HIPAA and biohazard protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and real-time tracking documentation
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling
- Monitor temperature-controlled shipments and handle specialized medical equipment
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to medical staff and patients
- Respond promptly to urgent delivery requests and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications preferred
- Experience in medical logistics or healthcare transportation preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling protocols
- Proficient with GPS navigation and mobile tracking systems
- Background check and drug screening required
