Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, pharmaceuticals, and lab equipment in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including chain of custody records and temperature logs
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and strict confidentiality standards
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform vehicle pre/post-trip inspections and maintain clean, organized transport units
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with professionalism and urgency
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate medical-grade coolers
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metro area and surrounding communities
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen training or willingness to obtain certification
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare background preferred
- Successful background check and drug screening required
