Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per HIPAA guidelines
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintenance coordination
- Coordinate with hospital staff for efficient pickup/dropoff procedures
- Handle urgent STAT deliveries with priority routing
- Follow OSHA safety protocols for biohazard materials
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal routing
Qualifications
- Valid US driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling protocols
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps
- Previous courier/transport experience preferred
