Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, lab results, and critical supplies between hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials during transit
- Complete detailed delivery documentation and maintain chain-of-custody records
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols
- Coordinate with healthcare staff to ensure timely, accurate deliveries
- Perform vehicle pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route planning and real-time tracking
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical/healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling
- Proficiency with mobile technology and delivery tracking systems
- Background check and drug screening required
- Reliable transportation to depot (parking provided)
