- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain strict chain of custody documentation for all medical shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols during all transports
- Coordinate with hospital staff, labs, and pharmacies for timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency and on-time performance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Previous medical courier or healthcare logistics experience preferred
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong attention to detail with flawless documentation abilities
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
