Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Verify patient information and delivery requirements for each shipment
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards
- Coordinate with medical facilities for timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform vehicle pre/post-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare certification preferred
- Experience in medical transport, logistics, or healthcare supply chain
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard handling procedures
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate temperature-controlled units
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug screening required
