Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and lab materials in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for HIPAA compliance
- Optimize daily routes using GPS technology for timely pickups and drop-offs
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Provide exceptional customer service to hospital staff and lab technicians
- Adhere to strict biohazard handling protocols and infection control standards
- Communicate delivery status updates through our mobile tracking system
Qualifications
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical/courier experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical specimen handling
- Proficiency with mobile apps and GPS navigation systems
- Reliable personal vehicle or willingness to use company vehicle
