Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, organs, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance protocols and chain-of-custody procedures
- Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency using GPS navigation systems
- Perform proper handling, packaging, and documentation of all medical shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare facilities and patients
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain fleet cleanliness
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with flexibility and urgency
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of courier, delivery, or medical transport experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Proficiency in GPS navigation and route optimization software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
