Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, organs, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict chain of custody documentation and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for time-sensitive pickups/deliveries
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Utilize GPS routing systems for efficient, on-time deliveries across Colorado Springs
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
- Adhere to biohazard handling procedures and OSHA safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical/transportation certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and navigate medical facility environments
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling and packaging
- Proficient with mobile technology and GPS navigation systems
