Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using climate-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols and HIPAA compliance for all medical materials
- Accurately document delivery information and maintain electronic tracking systems
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics to ensure urgent deliveries meet time-sensitive requirements
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Respond professionally to emergency delivery requests with urgency and precision
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable personal vehicle (company vehicle provided for deliveries)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical logistics experience preferred
- Strong understanding of medical packaging, biohazard handling, and temperature control protocols
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with dispatch team
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical confidentiality requirements
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate various healthcare facility layouts
