Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty trucks on assigned local routes within New York and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
