Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient daily route delivery within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Interact professionally with clients and customers at every delivery point.
- Update delivery status logs and handle paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a professional appearance and clean driving record at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving abstract.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a local delivery driver or in a similar logistics role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical labor as needed.
- Familiarity with GPS systems and route planning software.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
