Responsibilities
- Safely deliver packages and goods to residential and commercial locations throughout Bakersfield
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain proper signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness/maintenance of delivery vehicles
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and resolve delivery-related inquiries
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route changes
- Assist with loading/unloading operations and inventory management as needed
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass background check and DOT-mandated drug screening
- Reliable transportation to/from designated dispatch location
- Basic smartphone proficiency for navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Bakersfield streets and surrounding areas
- Flexible availability to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays
