Responsibilities
- Efficiently navigate and deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within a designated route in the Boston metropolitan area.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure accident-free driving.
- Inspect vehicles daily to ensure cleanliness and proper mechanical condition before and after shifts.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring they are secure and free from damage during transit.
- Interact professionally with customers, verifying signatures and providing exceptional customer service.
- Complete accurate paperwork and digital logs for all deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain a high level of punctuality and reliability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Proven experience in delivery driving or logistics preferred.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of the Boston, MA road network and traffic patterns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy for digital signature capture and log entry.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
