Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages to residential and commercial addresses throughout Oakland.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain electronic or physical signatures upon completion.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and mechanical issues before and after each shift.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and process payments via mobile apps.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
- Maintain a professional appearance and wear the required uniform.
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Reliable smartphone with data capabilities for navigation and order management.
- Basic knowledge of Oakland geography and traffic patterns.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
