Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (gravel, asphalt, demolition debris)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and local traffic laws
- Coordinate with dispatch and site supervisors for efficient load/unload operations
- Manage route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Conduct minor equipment troubleshooting and report maintenance needs
- Maintain clean driving record and professional conduct at all job sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong spatial awareness and heavy machinery handling skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
