Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver goods on designated routes throughout San Francisco Bay Area
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Optimize route efficiency while meeting strict delivery timeframes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and report any incidents or vehicle concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area geography and traffic patterns
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass background check
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery tracking systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends as needed
