Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26 ft) for local/regional freight delivery
- Manage pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance documentation
- Optimize routes for timely delivery while adhering to DOT regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team and clients for seamless logistics
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication
- Handle secure cargo handling and specialized equipment when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years commercial experience)
- Owned/leased box truck (24-26 ft) in good mechanical condition
- Proven experience in local/regional freight delivery
- Strong knowledge of Virginia road networks and DOT regulations
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic understanding of load securement and cargo safety protocols
- Reliable communication skills and smartphone for dispatch apps
