Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, organs, and temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals using specialized equipment
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols and HIPAA compliance for all medical materials
- Utilize real-time GPS tracking systems to optimize delivery routes and maintain strict time-sensitive schedules
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain sterile transport environments
- Document delivery status and handle medical documentation with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborate with healthcare facilities to coordinate critical pickups and deliveries
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience with clean MVR
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled transport units
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
- Proficiency with mobile tracking apps and basic digital documentation
- Pass background check and drug screening (required for healthcare positions)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
