Responsibilities
- Safely transport time-sensitive medical specimens, blood products, and organs via climate-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and chain-of-custody protocols for all medical materials
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time arrival at 30+ healthcare facilities
- Document all transfers using digital tracking systems and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Collaborate with hospital staff, labs, and pharmacies for seamless handoff procedures
- Perform vehicle sanitization and temperature monitoring between deliveries
- Respond to urgent rerouting requests with immediate adaptability
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical courier or specialized logistics experience
- Clean driving record and valid Class C Texas driver's license
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and digital tracking systems
- Exceptional time management with zero-tolerance for delays in medical transport
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with flawless documentation skills
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
