Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab materials, and critical healthcare supplies across Austin metro area
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for sensitive shipments
- Document all deliveries with electronic tracking systems and maintain detailed logs
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards and maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform vehicle safety checks and ensure proper storage of medical supplies
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with minimal delay
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Previous medical courier or healthcare logistics experience preferred
- OSHA bloodborne pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic delivery tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
