Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and organs in climate-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and HIPAA-compliant records
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for timely pickups/drop-offs
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain sterile transport conditions
- Urgent response for STAT deliveries with 15-minute dispatch readiness
- Utilize GPS routing software for optimal route efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years medical transport or logistics experience
- Certification in bloodborne pathogen handling (OSHA compliant)
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled units
- Strong attention to detail for specimen integrity protocols
- Spanish fluency required for bilingual patient interactions
