Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional freight routes
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining strict safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Manage electronic logging systems and documentation compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adapt to varying weather conditions and route challenges in the Midwest
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to FMCSA regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
