Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks for material transport across Virginia Beach and surrounding areas
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required
- Maintain clean driving record and complete all required training
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 3 years of dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and construction site protocols
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
