Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on various job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity.
- Load and unload materials (dirt, gravel, asphalt) using hydraulic systems and winches.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site foremen regarding schedules and route changes.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the proper endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks in a professional setting.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit with the ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and climbing.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
