Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated routes within North Carolina and surrounding states
- Perform pre-trip inspections, safety compliance checks, and basic maintenance troubleshooting
- Document all delivery activities, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance records accurately
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route adjustments, delivery schedules, and customer communications
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Represent Premier Logistics Group professionally with clients and stakeholders
- Participate in ongoing training programs for safety and operational best practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years verifiable experience as a commercial truck driver
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and route navigation systems
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts and occasional weekend deliveries
