Responsibilities
- Operate 26-foot box trucks and straight trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently within the region.
- Load and unload cargo using proper safety equipment and techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Inspect the vehicle for any mechanical issues before and after each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery schedules.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT compliant insurance.
- Clean MVR/Abstract record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ownership of a well-maintained, reliable box truck (6-wheeler or larger).
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
