Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently for local/regional freight delivery
- Manage route optimization and timely pickup/delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and inventory documentation
- Ensure vehicle compliance with DOT regulations and perform daily inspections
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional service
- Coordinate with dispatch team for seamless load assignments
- Monitor fuel efficiency and implement cost-saving measures
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of Detroit metro area and surrounding regions
- Proven ability to manage independent contractor responsibilities
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Reliable personal box truck (24-26ft) in good mechanical condition
- Commercial insurance coverage with $1M liability minimum
