Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain your box truck for timely deliveries in Durham and surrounding areas
- Plan efficient routes using provided GPS systems to maximize daily mileage
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance to ensure DOT compliance
- Document delivery logs, fuel receipts, and maintenance records accurately
- Communicate with dispatch team using our mobile app for real-time updates
- Handle loading/unloading of freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Build client relationships through professional on-time delivery service
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience with verifiable references
- Proof of commercial truck insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
- Smartphone proficiency for digital communication and documentation
- Reliable personal box truck (2005 or newer, 24-26ft preferred)
