Responsibilities
- Scan global technology trends, scientific breakthroughs, and societal shifts to identify disruptive opportunities through 2026
- Develop and maintain the company's strategic foresight framework with quarterly horizon scanning reports
- Design and lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing products and services
- Partner with R&D teams to translate foresight insights into patentable technologies and IP strategies
- Present future scenarios to executive leadership and board members with data-backed strategic recommendations
- Establish an internal 'Future Council' to embed foresight thinking across organizational functions
- Author thought leadership content that positions Nexus Horizons as the authority on next-generation innovation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in strategic foresight, corporate innovation, or technology consulting
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-focused business strategies
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies, scenario planning, and technology roadmapping
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio of published foresight work or successful innovation initiatives
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity while driving execution in fast-paced environments
