Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.) and assess market viability
- Develop 5-year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Establish governance frameworks for ethical tech adoption and risk mitigation
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and startups
- Monitor regulatory landscapes and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging tech commercialization
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI/ML, or sustainable tech
- Strong financial modeling and ROI analysis capabilities
- Experience with agile methodologies and innovation frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MBA, MS, or PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in tech journals
