Responsibilities
- Architect 2026+ innovation roadmap by analyzing emerging tech trends, market shifts, and regulatory landscapes
- Lead cross-functional 'Horizon Labs' to prototype and validate breakthrough concepts in AI, climate tech, and biotechnology
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and Fortune 500 companies for co-innovation initiatives
- Present innovation frameworks to the board and investors securing $50M+ annual R&D budget
- Establish KPIs for future-readiness including technology adoption curves and market disruption metrics
- Mentor next-gen innovators through our Future Leaders Fellowship program
- Drive patent strategy targeting 50+ novel IP filings by 2026
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or venture capital with 5+ years in Fortune 500 or hypergrowth tech
- Proven track record of launching market-disrupting products with $100M+ ARR impact
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, carbon capture, or synthetic biology
- Executive presence with demonstrated success presenting to C-suite and boards
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with preferred PhD or MBA
- Published thought leadership in Harvard Business Review or MIT Sloan Management Review
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Prior experience scaling innovation teams from 5 to 500+ members
