Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across Los Angeles and Southern California
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques following DOT regulations
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and comply with HOS regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Los Angeles area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
