Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers within the 5 boroughs and tri-state area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and pre/post-trip inspection protocols
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining exceptional safety records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) for accurate hour tracking
- Assist in freight loading/unloading when required
- Maintain clean driving record and vehicle maintenance documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic familiarity with ELD systems and mobile apps
- Must be 25+ years old
