Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between hospitals, labs, and clinics while maintaining strict temperature control protocols
- Maintain meticulous chain-of-custody documentation and HIPAA compliance for all medical shipments
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs across the Triangle region
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks daily to guarantee operational readiness
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare facilities and patients during critical delivery exchanges
- Utilize electronic tracking systems to update delivery status and communicate delays proactively
- Adhere to all OSHA, DOT, and healthcare transportation regulations without exception
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Previous medical courier or healthcare logistics experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic tracking systems
- Ability to lift and carry medical supplies up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong attention to detail with impeccable documentation skills
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and medical specimen handling protocols
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus
