Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient same-day delivery of medical specimens, specimens, and documents to hospitals, labs, and clinics throughout the Saint Paul metro area.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and company safety protocols during every pickup and drop-off to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles, ensuring they are clean, sanitary, and in excellent mechanical condition.
- Utilize handheld scanning devices and GPS technology to accurately track shipments and provide real-time status updates to dispatch.
- Interact professionally and courteously with hospital staff, nurses, and lab technicians at various healthcare facilities.
- Handle packages with extreme care, ensuring temperature-sensitive items are managed correctly.
- Complete daily delivery logs, mileage reports, and vehicle inspection forms with 100% accuracy.
Qualifications
- A valid Class D (or equivalent) Driver's License with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with smartphone technology for scanning and navigation.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced schedule.
- Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills when representing our brand.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Flexibility to work overtime, early mornings, and weekends as required by facility schedules.
