Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, organs, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA protocols and strict confidentiality standards
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for timely pickups/deliveries
- Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Respond promptly to urgent delivery requests
- Verify recipient identity and handle specimens with sterile protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical transport or logistics
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and route optimization
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling procedures
- Pass background check and drug screening
