Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and critical documents between NYC hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain precise delivery logs using our proprietary tracking system
- Adhere to HIPAA protocols and chain-of-custody procedures for sensitive materials
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Optimize multi-stop routes using real-time traffic data
- Coordinate with healthcare staff for efficient facility access
- Respond to urgent delivery requests within 30-minute notice
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean 3-year record
- Minimum 2 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in all weather conditions
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
