Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive equipment following HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using our proprietary tracking system
- Perform temperature-controlled transport for biologics and temperature-sensitive materials
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare facilities during pickups/deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of assigned courier vehicle
- Adapt routes in real-time using GPS navigation to meet urgent delivery timelines
- Follow biohazard handling procedures for all medical waste and contaminated materials
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- Certification in bloodborne pathogen handling and HIPAA compliance preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with proven time management skills
- Proficient in using mobile technology for route navigation and documentation
- Background check and drug screening required
