Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and aggregates across job sites
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and DOT regulations during all operations
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload materials using proper equipment and safety techniques
- Document trip details, mileage, and material quantities in digital logbooks
- Assist in basic vehicle troubleshooting and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 3 years of dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 5 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Proficiency with digital dispatch systems and route navigation apps
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans metropolitan area and surrounding parishes
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
